The harvest season, Summer. This work was known by that name, during which the farmers cut the harvested ears of cereals, mainly the wheat and then after collecting them, transported them to the threshing floor, threshed and took the fruit. The ancient word has also been preserved, summer. It is already Homeric and comes from an Indo-European root denoting heat from which, after all, comes the word “”warm””.
